I went to Napa Valley for wine…
and somehow ended up doing a mezcal and insect tasting instead. 🫠

Blanco with giant ants.
Añejo with crickets.
Reposado with worms.

Napa isn’t just wine tastings and vineyard views, there are actually some wildly unique food experiences if you’re willing to be a little adventurous.

Would I do it again?
Honestly… maybe...

I didn’t realize how overstimulated I was until I got to Solage Auberge in Calistoga. 😅

It’s dreamy, quiet, and genuinely calming — and yes, it still felt peaceful even with kids (which is basically the highest compliment I can give a resort).

We stayed at The Madeline in Telluride and the accommodations were mountain-chic (cozy, elevated, all the lodge vibes) and the ski-in/ski-out location is ridiculously convenient—especially with kids. No shuttles, no hauling gear across town.
