Using Rider Switch at Disneyland
Rider Switch is essential for every family Disney trip with little ones. What is Rider Switch? Rider Switch is when one adult waits with non-riders while the rest of the party waits in line for the attraction and can then swap with the waiting party once they finish the ride. This allows the waiting party to go on the attraction return line without waiting in the regular queue again. Suppose your infant or toddler is napping and the rest of your group is going on more attractions. This βrider switchβ allows the one waiting with the younger child to also enjoy the ride. It allows every one in your party to enjoy the attractions and save on time.
Remember to check with the rideβs dedicated cast member for swapping directions and they will kindly help. The person utilizing the Rider Switch can take one other guest with them for a maximum of 2 guests. Me and my husband would swap with each other and take our 5 year old on the ride while the other stayed back with our 2 year old, allowing her to go on the ride two times, once with each parent. Keep in mind, this is only available at select attractions at Disneyland and at Disney California Adventure.
