Traveling To Bali with Kids– Part 2: Four Seasons Resort at Sayan

Four Seasons Resort at Sayan

When we got to the Four Seasons Resort at Sayan, it was as if we were immediately immersed in tranquility. The Four Seasons Resort at Sayan is impeccable and easily one of the best resorts I have ever been to. Everything was tastefully unique in design and hospitality. Service was top notch here. Everyone was so kind and friendly at heart, so helpful and so caring–you could really tell from everyone’s warm genuine smiles.

When I was doing research on accommodations, I really loved how the Four Seasons at Sayan had a kids club with on site staff. Not only was the resort so inviting for the children but it provided the luxury I was looking for.
The Four Seasons Resort at Sayan is smaller than its sister in Jimbaran Bay, very intimate and peaceful. There were little to no crowds here even though the resort was pretty booked at capacity (we went in the middle of May).
We booked the Family Room which was more than enough space for us. It had a large bedroom with a king bed and a large master bathroom with a walk in closet. It also had a separate kids room with a twin bed and trundle with another bathroom next to it. The living space also led out to a spacious balcony which overlooked the master bedroom balcony but didn’t connect the two.

Check-in was flawless with welcome drinks and kids bags with goodies for the kids. Since we were exhausted from all the travel we decided to not go with our itinerary that we had planned out for our first day there. It was so nice to just take the time to relax at the resort. We ended up eating at their Indonesian restaurant, Ayung Terrace. Kids eat free at all the restaurants at the resort (excluding room service). Since my kids are somewhat picky eaters, this aspect made it less stressful since they had more options and were able to make specific requests/alterations to menu items.
After our delicious meal, we went to check out the PIci Pici Club which was their kids club. There were no other kids there and just one staff member named Rheni. Rheni was awesome, so friendly and just a really good person. She kept my daughters busy the whole time. They made friendship bracelets, played with toys and also took the whole family by buggy to the other side of the resort for a fish feeding activity. They supplied mosquito spray for us and the kids just in case. My girls had a really great time.
Since we were jetlag and so exhausted, we went to bed early and woke up at 4am local time and ordered room service for the kids since we wanted an early start to our day (restaurants didn’t open until 6:30am). The beds and bedding were SO comfortable and it was so relaxing to sleep to the sound of the Ayung River. I kept thinking it was the sound of rain but it never stopped. It was Calm app 24/7.
