Tips for Getting Ready for your Ski or Snowboard Lesson

  1. Make sure you have your lift passes ready to go and secure in a left pocket for easy scanning.ย ย
  1. Look for the meet up spot for private or group lessons so you know where to go in the morning.ย ย
  1. Get rentals the day before if possible, it takes a little bit of the nervousness and early morning rush out of the way from getting all the gear on and walking over to the mountain.ย ย If you are visiting Whistler Blackcomb mountain for this snow trip, you can book your rentalsย here.
  1. Make sure you have all the proper snow-proof gear on.ย ย I made the mistake in the past of tucking in my thermal/base layer pants into my ski boot and sock.ย ย Having all that in my boot caused so much discomfort for my legs.ย ย This time I used a proper ski sock and didnโ€™t wear base layer pants and I felt so much better.ย ย
  1. Be sure to ask your instructor or someone at the rentals, how to carry your gear properly without hitting others.ย
  1. Relax, enjoy the view and try to focus on being in the moment! If you are nervous about being on the slopes, try to relax, trust me, itโ€™ll make life a lot easier!ย
