Airport Transfers to and from Windjammer Landing Resort St. Lucia
Although other companies offered private airport transfers, we thought for peace of mind and convenience, we would book through the hotel. I did price shop a little on those that were offered on Viator and the prices were similar, some a bit more pricey than what Windjammer Landing was offering.
From the airport to the Windjammer Landing resort it could take at least 1.5 hours by car. Private transfers booked through Windjammer Landing cost $100 USD for 3 people and $25 USD for each additional person. We were able to have a whole shuttle to ourselves that comfortably fit two families of four.
We did see that there was an option to go by boat taxi back to the airport but it was a lot more expensive and still took an hour to get to View Fort. After arriving in View Fort, it would be an 8 minute car ride to the airport. The boat ride would have shade and beverages included. Private transfer by boat taxi is $125 USD per adult and $90 USD per child (they do also charge a small additional fee for luggage).
Because the travel time difference between the two options was only at least 30 minutes at a big price discrepancy, we opted for the private transfer by shuttle to and from the Windjammer Landing. The private shuttle transfer was more convenient since we didn’t have to move everything from the boat to the car and we didn’t have to worry about any of the weather conditions (whether it would be too hot and humid or raining). We were set up with a friendly driver, a spacious and comfortable shuttle van with air-conditioning and assistance with our luggage.
This air-conditioned shuttle van was more than enough space for two families of four and all of our luggages fit in the back!
